Login Problems

The most common problems people experience when trying to access the Control Panel are listed below. If none of the below suggestions help, please contact us at support@DWSmail.com for further assistance.

1) Internet Security or Personal Firewall software has been installed or activated preventing cookies and other variables from being stored on your computer, these are required to gain access. Most anti-virus companies package some sort of firewall with their software now, and by receiving the regular anti-virus updates, the security settings can be (and frequently are) changed. Once the firewall is temporarily disabled, these problems are usually corrected.

2) Software has been installed that changes the security settings in Internet Explorer preventing the same as above. Microsoft Windows update and service packs are the most common installations that would make these changes, although, opening an harmful attachment received through email could do the same thing without you knowing it. You can view these settings by clicking on TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS and look for the security tab.

3) If you haven't done so in a while, completely reboot your computer. This sometimes will clear any cached information that may be causing problems.

4) You could also try adding DWSadmin.com to the Trusted Sites list in your browser if the above suggestions do not correct the problem

    a. On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options.

    b. Click the Security tab, and then click the security zone where you want to add the site: Local intranet, Trusted sites, or Restricted sites.

    c. Click the Sites button.

    d. In the Add this Web site to the zone box, DWSadmin.com in the Web address.

    e. click to remove the check in the Require server verification box.

    f. Click the Add button.

To reset the security for the Trusted Sites zone to the default setting.

    a. make sure the Trusted Sites icon is selected.

    b. Click on the button for Custom Level

    c. Select Medium (default) from the select box

    d. Click Reset

    e. Click Yes when it confirms your selection

    f. Click OK several times to return to the login screen
